We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Gennadi Serenity House-Beachfront Villa in Rhodes island Greece, and it was truly a remarkable experience. The villa is located in the serene village of Gennadi and offers stunning views of the Aegean Sea.
The villa itself was immaculate and well-appointed, with modern amenities and comfortable furnishings. The bedrooms were spacious and airy, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The living area was cozy and inviting, with a comfortable sofa and a large flat-screen TV.
One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor terrace, which had breathtaking views of the sea. We spent many evenings enjoying the sunset from the terrace while sipping on a glass of local wine.
But the real highlight of our stay was the dining experience at Gennadi Serenity House. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the villa and offers delicious Mediterranean cuisine using local and organic ingredients.
To start, we ordered the hummus and the stuffed vine leaves. The hummus was creamy and flavorful, with just the right amount of garlic and olive oil. The stuffed vine leaves were filled with rice, herbs, and spices, and had a perfect balance of flavors.
For our main courses, we ordered the seafood platter and the lamb chops. The seafood platter included a variety of fresh seafood, including shrimp, calamari, and mussels. The seafood was perfectly cooked and had a delicate flavor that was enhanced by the accompanying sauces. The lamb chops were juicy and flavorful, with a crispy exterior and a tender, juicy interior.
To accompany our meals, we ordered a bottle of local Greek wine that was recommended by our server. The wine had a rich and robust flavor that paired well with both the seafood platter and the lamb chops.
For dessert, we ordered the baklava and the chocolate mousse. The baklava was sweet and nutty, with layers of phyllo dough and honey syrup. The chocolate mousse was decadent and rich, with a smooth and creamy texture.
Throughout our dining experience, the service was exceptional. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations and ensuring that we had everything we needed. The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxed and inviting, with a stunning view of the sea.
Overall, our stay at Gennadi Serenity House-Beachfront Villa was exceptional, and the dining experience at the restaurant was a highlight of our trip. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was serene and peaceful. We highly recommend this villa and restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Rhodes island Greece.

The villa stands in one of the best locations for miles around. It is only 90m away from an almost private beach where you can enjoy swimming and sunbathing with hardly any people around. Gennadi village is a traditional village on the southern part of Rhodes and is about one minute by car, or about a 10-15 minute walk from the villa. It gives you the feeling that you are so far away from the city but at the same time so close to everything.
In Gennadi itself there are numerous bars, tavernas, shops, cash points, a pharmacy, a bus stop and internet cafes, in fact pretty much everything you need is here. The local bakery provides fresh bread and delicious cakes daily, while the green grocer sells wonderful fresh salad, fruit and vegetables. There is also an excellent small supermarket and a quaint village church, St. John Theologos. Away from the large tourist crowds, Gennadi main beach is a quaint sandy and pebble beach great for everyone. It is a several km of open, crowd free sandy and pebble beach with crystal-clear warm water. It is only a two-minute drive from the villa. Enjoy your swim or have a Greek salad at one of the seaside restaurants or if you feel adventurous, explore the surrounding area.
Apart from Gennadi main beach, many organised beaches are located at a few km from the property, with the option of less crowded amazing beaches for you to explore or to discover the local gastronomy at the beachside tavernas. There are a few to visit in Lahania, Kiotari,Lardos and Lindos. It is the perfect location for your relaxing, peaceful, getaway vacation.
About a 20 minute drive away is the renowned water sports beach of Prassonissi, which has excellent wind surfing and kite surfing facilities due to the prevailing breezes. Further afield on the West coast, the castle of Monolithos perched on a rock over some steep cliffs is atmospheric and well worth a visit. The drive up the Western coast is lovely and you can also visit the ruined castle of Kastello near Kritinia. Beautiful Lindos with its Acropolis and medieval castle is about 20km away and nearby there are the traditional villages of Vati, Lahania, Lardos and Pefkos.
And no visit to Rhodes would be complete without a visit to Rhodes old town which is about 65km from the villa. Start by wandering about the atmospheric Old Town. Enter through the Gate of Freedom, walk along the cobbled medieval Street of the Knights and pass beneath archways and between stone buildings. Look for domed Turkish mosques, turreted walls, bastions, old houses and fountains. Museum Square is the place to go to learn more about the history. The Hospital of the Knights houses the Archaeological Museum of Rhodes and, across the road, the Church of Our Lady of the Castle is home to the Byzantine Museum. Don’t miss the imposing Byzantine Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, perhaps the most significant structure in the Old Town. Erected in the seventh century, this fortress became the headquarters for the administration of the Knights of the Grand Order.
The cobbled medieval streets contain many artisan shops, cafes, mosques, minarets, museums and tavernas hidden in its maze of back streets, just behind the main tourist strip. Rhodes City is an archaeological treasure trove. The ruins of ancient civilizations stand at every turn in the namesake city on the spectacular Greek island of Rhodes, where the modern and the historic blend seamlessly together. With a history that stretches back some 2,400 years, Rhodes City manages to combine a modern cosmopolitan feel with some of the finest ancient ruins in all of Greece. Explore its famous civilizations and fascinating past while relaxing and sampling its stylish restaurants, bars and nightlife.
